Mayor's Alliance Web Site Sports Two Furry New Features
from Petfinder

A new Featured Pet Module is
one of two new adoption aids that adorn the Mayor's
Alliance web site.

The Mayor's Alliance and Petfinder are working together
to get more little New Yorkers adopted.
If you've visited the Mayor's Alliance web site
lately (and we certainly hope you have!), you've probably noticed
a new addition in the upper left hand corner: the Featured Adoptable
Pet. This new module, courtesy of our friends at Petfinder.com,
highlights a different dog or cat available for adoption from a
different Alliance
Participating Organization (APO) each time a visitor arrives
at our site. A quick click on the Featured Pet button takes you
to the animal's page on the Petfinder web site, where you can find
his/her description and adoption contact information.
In addition to the Featured Pet Module, Mayor's
Alliance web site visitors now can search the Petfinder database
of animals for adoption from all APOs that post their animals on
Petfinder. A new APO Animal Search Module, located at the bottom
of our Adoption page,
provides visitors with quick and easy access to hundreds of cats,
dogs, and other animals waiting for new homes.
We are delighted to partner with Petfinder to make
these adoption tools available to our web site visitors. If you're
looking to adopt a little New Yorker, or if you know someone who
is, visit www.AnimalAllianceNYC.org/adopt
often to see who's available for adoption. And while you're visiting
our site, feel free to take a tour, check out our events and resources,
and read up on how the Mayor's Alliance and its member
organizations are working to transform New York City into a
no-kill community.
