Come learn how to care for the feral and stray cats
in your community and make use of the many resources now available
to assist you. A special training workshop, presented by the NYC
Feral Cat Initiative, a program of the Mayor's Alliance for
NYC's Animals and Neighborhood Cats, will be held:
Sunday, August 26, 2007
1:00–4:00 p.m.
Bronx Library Center
310 East Kingsbridge Road
Bronx, NY 10458
(718) 579-4200
Instructors: Jamie Lehman & Teresa Noto
All steps in setting up a managed colony will be
covered, including establishing good community relations, feeding,
building and placing shelters, arranging vet care, finding recovery
space, safely handling feral cats, and trapping (with an emphasis
on conducting a mass-trapping of an entire feral colony at once).
All workshop attendees will become TNR certified,
and NYC residents will gain access to no-cost spay/neuter and trap
rental. Join the 1,000+ caretakers trained to date!
Advance registration is required, but there is no
charge to attend.
For more information and to register, contact Neighborhood
Cats at (212) 662-5761 or nycferalcat@aol.com,
